Virtual Children's Hub  is a virtual children’s hub for parents and carers which provides access to important health, early learning, child care and parenting support information. mychild.gov.au

A National Quality Framework for Early Education and Care will provide parents, communities and operators of early childhood education and care services with a nationally consistent, streamlined and integrated licensing and accreditation system which ensures quality standards are implemented and maintained across all services. The new quality system will be aspirational and it may take some time to implement the full suite of standards to the highest quality level. It will also include an Early Years Learning Framework linked to national quality standards which will underpin early childhood education and care including universal access to 15 hours a week of affordable quality early learning for 40 weeks a year in the year before formal schooling. SA Education Act 1972 and Children's Services Act 1985 Legislation Reform Discussion Paper- General Provisions for Education and Early Childhood Development public consultation.  Feedback on this paper will be used to inform development of a consultation draft of proposed legislation. The consultation phase commenced on 29 September 2008 and ends 5 December 2008.
