Learning Community Hub Forums (previously known as Local Hub Group Forums)
The Professional Support Coordinator (PSC) contracts a number of Coordinators to arrange quarterly forums/training sessions bringing together practitioners from child care (long day care, family day care, OSHC), education, health and community based organisations. The goal of this project is to build relationships and knowledge between local health, education and child care providers to improve outcomes for children and families. These events are available free of charge to attend.
The discussion focus for each forum/training session could cover any issue affecting children and families. The meetings may provide a forum for sharing information, networking, developing local solutions or agreed training/guest speakers. Possible topics would be diverse but may cover child health and/or development, attachment, local services for families, promotion of family friendly policies and services, parent partnerships, strategies for including fathers, transition to school, nutrition, cultural inclusion within local communities, curriculum etc.
