Professional Support Coordinator

Professional Support Coordinator The Gowrie Training Centre has been managing the Professional Support Program since 1 January 2006. In this time we have contracted organisations and individuals to deliver professional support including training, advice, support,resources,specialist equipment and bi cultural support.

The first 12-months of the program was the establishment phase where contracts were negotiated largely with previously funded organisations to deliver the same types of services at similar funding levels. Support services needed to meet the needs of the sector were determined with the research analysis and the development of the Implementation Plan.

The PSC has a Sector Advisory Group which includes representatives from key stakeholders and practitioners from the sector. This group has played a large role in informing the support needs and prioritising support services to be available over the next 12 months. We are in the process of finalising our 2007/2008 Implementation Plan which will be available on the website in coming weeks.
